Odaios Tented Food Exhibition 2012

Fitzwilliam square is a small but historic Georgian square in the south of central Dublin, Ireland. It was here on May 15th 2012 that Odaios held their first Tented Food Exhibition. Customers were invited to see and taste a vast range of food and drink and to meet with our key producers in a unique botanical setting.

A Day to Remember. The rain held off, the sun came out, the bunting blew and the jazz band played.  From the spit roast pig, to the BBQ and grill, the learning lounge to head massages.  From afternoon tea treats and gourmet delights to a show stopping nose to tail master class from Kettyle Irish Meats. The first Odaios Tented Food Exhibition brought together a unique culinary gathering in the heart of Dublin 2.

Valrhona, chocolate pioneer and master of taste, in collaboration with Elle & Vire, La Fruitière and Solia were on hand to present morning and afternoon tea treats.  Laid out across the tipi village, customers were able to explore and taste what’s new in breads, pastries, biscuits, cookies, coffee, butter, salt, meat, game, charcuterie, smoked fish and a whole lot more.

In the Learning Lounge, our new educational arm of Odaios, guest speakers appeared on the hour. Topics ranged from a coffee master class, to the specialities of Iberico ham, sourdough breads, chocolate pâtisserie and a jaw dropping, butchery demonstration from Maurice Kettyle and the team.

Odaios would like to thank all those who joined us at our first Tented Food Exhibition.  We hope that you enjoyed our hospitality while meeting with other members of the culinary community in our social network at Fitzwilliam square.
